The Gorgie Foundation is focused on giving animals their own voice. Through community and knowledge we can save our fury friends by putting them in evaluation to be a therapy dog or Service animal.
Service and support dog analysis takes time. This gives a real fighting chance for basic adoption & fostering for the animal. Or if need be a Sanctuary.

Training
“Dogs don’t generalize”
When a dog learns a behavior (like sit) in one place, he doesn’t automatically understand that the same rule applies in other situations or locations. To a dog, sit in the kitchen when you’re holding a treat is a completely different “problem” than sit at the park while a skateboard goes by.

Service & adoption
The animal would be qualified to a home and a trainer will assist with intergration of the animal and test for service/therapy
Adoption and re-homing
Some animals will only qualify for home intergration, So adoption and training with new parent / fosters till a final home is settled.
Sanctuarys
Some animals are harder to intergrate but we partner with organizations to help find the right suited home. And provide care, education and support.
Our Mission

Putting them under due processing for evaluation. This gives about a month of time.

We want our animals to be safe. Thats the priority and our mission is to provide safety for our families.

The Gorgie guide and Journal (GGJ) Project
this project is built upon the same principles of any rehabilitation but offering it as a service to the public, in efforts to prove that if troubled dogs are being saved from being put in kennels then this process can work for getting them out.
Getting more people apart of the system is what were trying to do.

About Us
TGF was founded on the passing of Gorgie, the happiest dog on earth. Gorgie was a service animal trained to detect seizures and alert and protect his owner. Unfortunately his owner wasn’t prepared to provide the right services for him. Gorgie passed from a seizure in his owners hands, no chance to save him. This foundation was created to give support to owners. As the knowledge of how the world truly works grew so does the passion to make an impact is.
We want all animals to have a fighting chance at life and a family to love them, disability or not. We are creating systems that will guide individuals looking to be apart of the program. From general adoption to helping animals go out and provide their service, support, therapy.
We are in the process of solidifying our 501c status yet are a legal non profit company based in Los Angeles. We plan to expand nation wide.
Any and all animal enthusiasts, families and people looking for a new friend are welcome to be apart of (TGF) and its partner’s journey.
We are privately funded and welcome any and all donations.
